What the assessment covers
Perimeter and boundaries (fences, walls, hedges, gates), entry points (doors, windows, roof access, garages, outbuildings), sight-lines from the street and from neighbours, external lighting and dead zones, existing alarm coverage and grading, CCTV coverage and evidential quality, lock standards and key control, and procedural practices (keyholding, alarm codes, contractor access, deliveries).
Residential and HMO reports
For homes and HMOs we align findings with your buildings and contents insurer requirements plus (for HMOs) local council licensing standards. Common recommendations include upgrading front and rear door cylinders, repositioning existing CCTV, adding perimeter lighting and formalising key control.
Commercial reports
For commercial premises we align findings with your insurer's survey framework, plus (where relevant) PCI-DSS physical requirements, ISO 27001 Annex A controls and any sector-specific standards (care, education, hospitality). Common recommendations include zoning the alarm, upgrading CCTV to evidential quality, formalising visitor management and access-control audit trails.
Multi-site portfolios
For letting agents, property managers and multi-site commercial operators we can assess a representative sample of properties and produce a portfolio-level risk view — useful for insurer conversations and capital planning across estates.
Independence and no obligation
The assessment fee is separate from any installation work. Reports are yours to use with any installer — including ones who might quote against us. Our long-term customer base is built on being straight about what a property does and doesn't need.
