Terms & Conditions.

The terms governing the supply of AlarmCCTV's quotation, installation, monitoring and aftercare services.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to all quotations, installations, monitoring services, service visits and aftercare provided by AlarmCCTV ("we", "us", "our") of Unit 2, Sheffield Road, Glossop SK13 7PU. By accepting a quotation you agree to these terms.

2. Quotations

Quotations are provided free of charge after an on-site survey and are valid for 30 days from issue. All quoted prices are fixed and inclusive of equipment, cabling, installation, commissioning, certification and a single handover session. No mid-job extras are added without your prior written agreement.

3. Deposits and payment

For new installations exceeding £1,000 in value we may request a deposit of up to 25% to secure equipment. The balance is payable on completion of the install and acceptance of handover. Service-visit and repair work is invoiced on completion. Payment terms are 7 days from invoice date unless agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Installation

We will install the system to the specification set out in your quotation, in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and the relevant UK standards (typically EN 50131 for intruder alarms). You are responsible for ensuring safe access to the property on the agreed install date.

5. Workmanship guarantee

We provide a 5-year workmanship guarantee on every install, covering cabling, fixings, commissioning and labour. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty (typically 2–5 years for Texecom and HIKVISION products). Damage caused by tampering, third-party modification, lightning, flood, building works or wilful misuse is excluded.

6. Service and aftercare

Annual service contracts are available and recommended for monitored systems and any system requiring insurance certification. Service contracts include scheduled engineer visits, sensor walk-tests, battery checks, lens cleaning and firmware updates. Emergency callouts outside of a service contract are charged at our standard rate.

7. Monitored services

Where you have engaged monitored alarm services, signalling is routed through a UK-based Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Monitoring is subject to a separate annual fee and is conditional on continuous broadband or 4G availability at the property.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel a quotation at any time before installation begins at no charge. Once equipment has been ordered specifically for your install, a cancellation fee equal to the equipment cost may apply. Statutory consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply where relevant.

9. Liability

We carry public liability insurance and professional indemnity cover. Our liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the contract or our insurance cover, whichever is lower. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

10. Insurance and certification

We supply full installation and commissioning paperwork on handover. It is your responsibility to share this documentation with your insurer and to maintain any service contract or grading requirement specified by your insurer.

11. Data protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. CCTV footage and access-control data captured by your system remain your property at all times.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
