AlarmCCTV ("we", "us", "our") is a family-run security installer based at Unit 2, Sheffield Road, Glossop SK13 7PU. We are the data controller for any personal information you provide via this website, by phone, by email or in person.
2. What information we collect
We collect only the information you provide to us, including: your name, postal address, postcode, phone number, email address, details of your property and the service you have enquired about. If you become a customer, we additionally hold install records, system commissioning data, service-visit notes and invoicing details.
3. How we use your information
Your data is used solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, deliver and service the security system you have engaged us to install, comply with insurance and certification requirements, and contact you about your account or system. We do not use your data for unrelated marketing.
4. Lawful basis for processing
We rely on (a) your consent when you submit an enquiry, (b) the performance of a contract when you become a customer, and (c) our legitimate interest in maintaining records of installations and service visits for compliance and warranty purposes.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We share information only with: our Alarm Receiving Centre (where you have engaged monitored services), the equipment manufacturers (for warranty registration where applicable), our accountant and HMRC for tax purposes, and law enforcement where legally required.
6. How long we keep your data
Enquiry data is retained for 12 months. Customer install and service records are retained for the operating life of the system plus 7 years to comply with insurance, warranty and accounting obligations.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object. Contact us at info@alarmcctv.co.uk to exercise any of these rights.
8. Cookies
This website uses essential cookies required for the site to function and may use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. No personal data is collected through cookies for marketing or profiling purposes.
9. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures including encrypted storage, restricted internal access and secure backup procedures.
