Overview
The complete picture before you commit.
Honest, plain-English explanation no jargon, no hard sell. We want you to understand exactly what we're recommending and why.
What it is
A fire alarm system is a network of smoke, heat and multi-sensor detectors, manual call points, sounders and a control panel that detects the earliest signs of a fire and warns everyone in the building. We design, install and service systems certified to BS 5839-1 (commercial) and BS 5839-6 (domestic and HMO), from single-panel dwelling systems through to fully addressable, zoned commercial installations.
Who it's for
Homeowners upgrading beyond battery-only smokes, landlords meeting HMO and rental licensing rules, letting agents managing multi-property portfolios, and commercial premises — offices, retail, care, hospitality, warehousing — needing a certified system for insurance, licensing or Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 compliance.
When you need it
Before a HMO licence renewal, after a change-of-use, when opening or refitting a commercial premises, when insurers request a certified system, or when an existing system has reached end-of-life. Also after any fire-officer visit that flagged non-compliance — we can retrofit to bring the property up to standard quickly.
Why professional install matters
Non-compliant or DIY fire detection routinely voids insurance, invalidates HMO licences, and — most importantly — fails when it matters. A professionally designed and installed system delivers the right detector in the right place, wired or wireless to spec, with a documented handover certificate the fire officer, insurer and landlord all recognise.
