Our standard residential package is a Hikvision or Eufy 2K mains-wired doorbell paired with a Yale Conexis L2 keyless multipoint smart lock. For higher-security requirements we specify an Ultion Nuki smart cylinder retrofitted to a TS007 3-star Ultion mechanism — one of the strongest domestic lock combinations available in the UK. For Airbnb / holiday lets we favour Yale Keyless Connected with time-boxed PIN codes.
Where your property already has a wired chime we wire the new doorbell to the existing transformer (uprated if required). Where no wiring exists we can typically hard-wire from the internal hall using a 16 V AC transformer sited in the consumer unit cupboard or a fused spur, giving always-on recording and full 24/7 live-view without battery worries.
Most UK home insurers require a lock meeting BS3621 or TS007 3-star. Yale Conexis L2, ERA Touchpoint and Ultion Nuki all meet these standards when correctly installed with the recommended cylinder. Fitting a cheaper smart lock (particularly imported Bluetooth-only units) can invalidate cover — we advise honestly on which lock actually satisfies your policy.
Where you already have a Texecom Connect alarm or a Hik-Connect CCTV account, the doorbell (Hikvision) and lock (via SmartCom) can be brought into the same app view. Arm the alarm at night and the lock deadlocks automatically; a doorbell press mid-day pauses CCTV recording rules so the delivery driver isn't flagged as an intruder.
